Cardioscore is a genetic test developed by Allelica.
Allelica is a research spin-off founded by scientists who carried out research at the University of Oxford and University of Rome “La Sapienza”.

The founding team

Giordano Bottà
CEO & CO-Founder

Giordano Bottà PhD
Giordano is a molecular biologist and bioinformatician passionate about everything related to DNA, genetics and evolution. He carried out research at the University of Oxford, where he had the opportunity to work with the top genomics experts in the world, publishing in the journal Nature. He wants to give people the opportunity to benefit from the scientific revolution happening in the Genomics field, creating digital products to allow an effective use of the extraordinary information carried in our DNA.

George Busby
CSO & CO-Founder

George Busby PhD
George is a geneticist and a writer. He has been a researcher at the University of Oxford for more than 7 years and his scientific work has been published in Nature and Science. He was always fascinated by the possibility of reconstruct the human evolutionary history analyzing large genomic dataset and advanced statistical modeling. He now leads the Allelica scientific team, bringing to the market for the first time the polygenic risk score that has been shown to be useful in medical geneticst.

Paolo Di Domenico
CTO & CO-Founder

Dr. Paolo Di Domenico
Paolo is a software engineer, he programmed his first software at the age of 5 with a Commodore 64 and Basic language. Since then he has gained experience in numerous programming languages and in managing complex systems. His goal is to develop algorithms and software able to translate in the clinical practices. the latest scientific finding of genomic prediction.

Riccardo Sabatini
Scientific advisor

Riccardo Sabatini PhD
Riccardo is a world renown scientist specialized in numerical modeling of complex system, computational genomics and drug design.
He served as lead research scientist, working with Craig Venter, for Human Longevity, Silicon Valley unicorn focused at the intersection of genomics and artificial intelligence
